The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine must consider banning extremist radical Islamic organizations in Ukraine question, Crimean parliament Speaker Anatolii Hrytsenko stated commenting on the arrest of the activists of the radical Islamic movement ‘Al Takfir wal-Hijra’ suspected of preparing an attempt against the Chairman of the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Cemil.
Mr Hrytsenko underlined that at the moment the public must pay a special attention to radicalization of some Moslem movements and enhancement of their influence.
23 October, the Crimean militia and security officers arrested a Leader of the radical Islamic movement ‘Al Takfir wal-Hijra’ Ahmet Emirali and an active member of the organization.
Militiamen revealed blocks, ‘suicide bomber belts’, agitation and technical literature, various brochures containing ideas of extremist radical movements.
The Majlis chairman spoke for a law banning any extremist organizations, whose members propagate violence and do not recognize the state they live in.
